PKF Launches Business Confidence Index
PKF New England North West is proud to launch its latest initiative - the PKF Business Confidence Index. From early July, PKF will start compiling quarterly survey data from Tamworth business owners.

Purpose
Our aim is to enhance local business decision making by developing a single data point that expresses business confidence in the Tamworth region.
Speaking on behalf of PKF Evan Brownsmith says "We recognise that local business leaders are faced with important decisions every single day. While there are many sources of information available to draw upon, it's often difficult to find useful data relevant to the local markets they operate in."
Through this latest initiative, PKF New England North West will support local business by making meaningful information freely available through our progressive, collaborative approach.

Statistical Approach
Our survey, which will go out in the first month of each quarter, contains five questions.
For each question five responses are possible. Each response is given a numerical weighting from 1 through 5. For each, we calculate a weighted average response.
The average in the base quarter is weighted to 100. The averages for each successive quarter are then rebased to compare whether confidence has become higher or lower.
Opportunity
The survey is completely anonymous and will take less than 5 minutes to complete.
